To Think, Or Not To Think
It is very weird how people can effect on other people.. let me be more specific, without trying to offend anyone here..
I noticed a trend in the blogger community, some posts always trigger a new subject for the reader to blog about.. it’s like the wave effect. You see someone (X) publishing a post about something, then as you go through the other blogers blogs ( mostly would be the ones that comment on (X)’s blog, you would see them trigged to talk about the same thing (X) was talking about as a new post in their blog... and most of them don’t even realize that they were intrigued from (X)’s post… I am not talkin’ about someone specific here.. but I also noticed that in me… sometimes a bit too late.. I mean sometimes I discover that I wrote a post (Which I thought in the beginning that it came all from my head and nothing else) to be inspired from another blog after I post it, sometimes in weeks, which is fine sometimes, but I don’t think it should be done frequently though.. If a person wants to talk about a certain subject that was mentioned in (X)’s blog, they should refer the readers to a link of (X)’s post and comment in (X)’s comment section.. The only way to avoid this effect, is to write your post before reading any other post and before opening any blog.. this way, it would be unlikely to still have the same effect and the inspiration that will make you repeat the same thing some one else wrote about not too long ago..
Again please, I am not talkin’ about anyone specific, it’s just a thought I had to share .. There is no right or wrong here, just an opinion, yet I’d love to know your view of that… |

post a commentI do think ur right with that, but sometimes there are exceptions like the electricity thing :} a lot got affected by it hence wrote about it this is a general thing or issue that touched the whole community BUT am with you in the creative ideas some people come up with & write about then others take it & add a few spices to say what has been said but in other words :} that is what I don't like.
I think I got your point Don, you are not referring to the general issues of the day, but rather, the genuine thoughts that someone comes up with.
Now I don't mind if my thoughts (for example) have had an inspiration onto others to write 'bout another related subject, this is healthy and mind provoking, even if the writer did not mention me in his post. But to steal someone else's thoughts and just polish them, this is pure theft. And is unacceptable to do unless the writer likes the post and he refers to it in his writing, for the sake of getting more productive commentaries. We always go through the blog blocking period. Where nothing comes to mind. This is the period where we should stop writing and start researching. Then things just patch up, and the thought just pops up. It's not like just filling a page, it's a responsibility we all have to take and respect.
Nice subject dude
umm, I do not suffer from that problem :)
I've decided to just NOT comment on posts that are regurgitated topics. If I see 5 blogs talking about the same thing, then I will ignore all 5 posts.
Purg - That means that they're not flattering you. Don't ask me to explain. Think about it for yourself ;)
DnG, I did the same thing as well...
ok
I was gonna comment but then I read Rabab's comment. Rabab honey I think you've said all there is to say on this one :). D&G I have a better idea for you, if you see 5 posts talking about basically the same thing. Look for the one that sounds and feels more original to you.Better still check the date :P and only comment on the origional post. you'll give the author a thumbs up that way, and at the same time u'll be rebucing the copiers ;)
